About
Elefin is a café in a mahout village up in the hills of Ban Mae Ha, Hang Dong, where around 30 elephants roam a large open area with their handlers. Entry is free, and 100 baht buys a basket of bananas and sugarcane to feed them from a wooden platform. The café serves meals and drinks at fair prices, and there are dome tents if you want to stay overnight. Note that some elephant riding is offered, which may matter to you. Tour vans crowd the morning, so I'd go later.
