Skugga Estate

Skugga is a working farm in Mae On, about 30 to 40 minutes east of the city past the San Kamphaeng hot springs. It grows shade-grown arabica and cacao. At the café and roastery you can watch the Black Pig roaster and try experimental coffees, including carbonic-maceration lots, at a pour-over bar. Next door, the Chocolate Lab makes bar chocolate from the farm's cacao. There's a barbecue bistro, a morning bakery and a collection of British classic cars. Entry is free, and it makes a good half-day trip.
