Baan Mae means 'mum's house', and that's exactly the idea: classic Thai home cooking in a garden house on Santisuk Road, north of the Old City. The menu sticks to dishes you'd eat in a Thai family kitchen, with café pastries and a few Western plates for anyone who needs them. There's garden seating and a private dining room. It's open lunch to late. I'd bring visiting family here.
