Lew & Xavier French Bakery

Lew & Xavier is a proper French bakery on the Chiang Mai–Lamphun road, run by Lew, a pastry baker from San Pa Tong, and Xavier, a Frenchman who has lived in Thailand since 2000. They bake with French flour and long natural fermentation: tradition baguettes, rye, walnut and seeded loaves, plus croissants, pains au chocolat and canelés. Both are members of Les Ambassadeurs du Pain. Xavier's Francette charcuterie (terrines, confit, sausages) shares the counter. If you're missing real bread, this is where I'd go.
