Princess Sirindhorn AstroPark

Chotana & Mae Jo Rd · Chang Phueak North / Mae Jo road

About

The AstroPark in Don Kaew, Mae Rim, is run by NARIT, Thailand's national astronomy research institute, and it's open to the public with a planetarium and astronomy exhibitions. The exhibitions are free, and planetarium shows cost very little, which makes it one of the best-value rainy-day trips for curious kids. Most shows are in Thai, so time your visit for the English show, which runs on Fridays at 11:00. Book planetarium seats online in advance; booking closes an hour before each show.
