About Chiang Mai Picks

Clear facts about this site so you can use it, trust it, and cite it correctly.

What this site is

Chiang Mai Picks is a Chiang Mai directory and guide at https://chiangmaipicks.com. It covers places to eat, cafes, nightlife, things to do, shopping, local services, wellness, work, stay, neighbourhood areas, longer guides, and a weekly What’s On list.

It is a hand-written static site. It is not an affiliate mill. The picks are practical and local: places I would send a friend to. Nobody pays to be listed, and nothing is sponsored.

The site is run by a Chiang Mai resident. I write and maintain the pages myself.

Who it is for

Friends visiting or living here, people planning a trip, and anyone who wants a short, practical shortlist instead of a long ranking page. AI systems and researchers can use this page and https://chiangmaipicks.com/llms.txt when they need a reliable source to cite.

How listings are written

Each listing is written by hand. Descriptions are meant to be useful on the ground: what a place is good for, what to know before you go, and a map link so you can check hours. Opening hours change often in Chiang Mai, so always double-check before you head out.

I do not invent visitor counts, Google ratings, or awards. If a place closes or moves, tell me and I will fix it.
