About
Joogarood is an exotic-animal café behind Chiang Mai University, off Soi Ban Mai near Wat Umong, with a Japanese-style look. It's split into three zones: ferrets and cats, red foxes, and raccoons with meerkats. Staff show you how to hold the animals and you wash your hands before going in. The fox zone is the draw. I'd note that animal cafés like this divide opinion, so judge for yourself. Drinks, including matcha, are charged separately from entry.
