No.39 is the jungle café near Wat Umong with the jade-green pond in the middle, and it's on many Instagram feeds for that reason. Tables, decks and a two-storey wooden hut sit around the water under tall trees. The pond is dyed, so it looks better from a distance than close up. Live music plays in the morning and a DJ in the afternoon, and there are burgers and rice dishes as well as coffee. I'd come for the setting after Baan Kang Wat, not for the coffee.
