Sandwich Bar is a Chiang Mai institution near the Hua Rin corner of the moat, across from Chiang Mai Ram Hospital. It has been serving Western diner food for more than 50 years, since the Vietnam War era. The menu runs from breakfasts and sandwiches to steaks, pasta, pizza and Thai dishes, and the steak with rice is the one locals remember. It opens early and closes at 8:30pm.
