TCDC is the Chiang Mai branch of Thailand's creative and design centre, run by the government's Creative Economy Agency, tucked behind Muang Mai Market on Muang Samut Road. The heart of it is a design-focused library and resource centre, with books and magazines, plus exhibitions for the city's creative crowd. It's a useful place for designers, makers and students, and a quiet, air-conditioned place to read or work. Casual visitors can buy a day pass, while regulars take out an annual membership. Pair it with an early visit to the market.
